2013 Autodrift Round 2 Drift Competition at Taroda Racing Indoor Track!

On 07 April 2013, Autodrift held round 2 at Taroda Racing's indoor track at EHub Downtown East in Pasir Ris, Singapore.

It was a fully packed entry of about 56 participants. Overall it was a really fun but tiring day. Qualified for top 16 with 7th position overall but did not pass best 8. Anyway, a pretty good experience despite the fact that it was my first try on this track ever. The surface of the track is a somewhat epoxy covering which tends to get grippy after runs.. which makes it a challenge as it means the track condition changes and is not consistent.

Volume 2.1 Night Run Special!

A special Volume 2.1 was re-editted to replace the Volume 2.0 that was taken down. New scenes were added and a new song was chosen. "Serment" by Mami Kawada. Hope you guys enjoy it~! 

By the way... April is here! So fast! This means a new volume 04 is coming up! Releasing mid-April. Stay tuned!

Touge Shifters Drift Volume 03 - TEMPO!

Presenting our third drift volume - TEMPO! It is a continuation from the second installment... with an additional car! - a green Toyota Chaser driven by Dharvin.

The title TEMPO was chosen due to the fast & slow pace of the song from the anime High School of the Dead (H.O.T.D) performed by Kishida Kyoudan & The Myoujou Rocket. Many special thanks to Jen Jie and Ah Poh once again for the wonderful chase and action camera works.

2013 Street Revo's Drift Event at Funan Digitalmall

Street Revo organized an event demo at Funan from 7-10 March, with the first 3 days a free to join demo and the last day a fun drift competition. An all well and fun day with some nice runs.

The carpet flooring was great and very consistent run after run.. however the only downside is the carpet hair getting stuck on every part of the chassis and shell.

The Singapore Police Force was here.. to catch drifters?? hmm LOL

Sigh... a pretty bad collision during the event left a seriously bad dent to my FD3S... heart broken. =(

I just can't leave the damage there.. although its late at night, went on to fixing it by adding carbon side skirt and decals. Body is still pretty scratched. Will be polishing it. Not a bad patch up job I think...

Because of the damage done... I might as well do the changes that otherwise I would be lazy to do... like bracing the front bumper with tape. LOL. Anyway, safely back in the garage. Just need to remind myself to use the right shell for the right event next time.... OK. Lesson learnt~~~

Touge Shifters Drift Volume 02 - Re-editing

Touge Shifters Drift Volume 02 - "Night Run" will go through some re-editing due to some issue with the song used in the video.

The new re-cut version 2.1will be featuring together with the premier of Touge Shifters Drift Volume 03 - "Tempo"! Volume 03 is a sort of continuation from Volume 02, however the song choice and beat will be faster which is why its called "Tempo"!

Volume 03 poster to be featured soon. Look forward to the premier of both Volumes by end of this month!

Blast from the Past! - S13

Looked through some old RC photos and came across my first customized Frewer Racing S13. It has since been a few months since I last sold it.. Anyway, just a final post as a memorial to it.

Its a Frewer Racing S13 shell, originally supposed to be a touring shell, but I cut out the bumper for the intercooler and added some serious canards on it.. Now looking back at it seems a little overdone..... =/ Anyways... here comes the pics~

Touge Shifters Drift Volume 02 - Night Run!

Presenting Touge Shifters Drift Volume 02 - Night Run!

This time Touge Shifters is bringing drifting out of the tile track and back into the outdoor winding cycling tracks with no mercy walls.

Its the first try on shooting a complete video at night... in HD 1080p! All filming was done solely using the iPhone 4S and fully edited in iMovie.

A special shout out of thanks to Jen Jie and Ah Poh for all the awesome camera handling! Without you guys this video would not have been possible.

In line with Touge Shifters drift volume featuring anime opening songs, the awesome song selected for this volume is Crossing Fields by LiSA, from the anime - Sword Art Online.

It was all in all a fun and worthwhile experience in the making of this drift volume video. More to come in Drift Volume 03.. which is currently in its early editing stage.

Update (8th March 2013) : The video is removed due to the song copyright issue. Irregardless "Crossing Fields" by LiSA is an awesome song, we are just disappointed that it has to be this way. Anyways... that said, a better remake is underway!! Your patience is much appreciated.. =)

Presenting the Menacing URAS ER34!

A post on Dharvin's menacing Yokomo ER34 with full URAS bodykit fitted on. The original Blitz ER34 was already looking mean.. but with the URAS kit added on, the mean just got much more meaner!!

It rocks a fully aggressive stance with 12mm deep dish to fill those wide fenders~~ and take note the super low height clearance.. which is about 2-3mm max?! Many times the car bottoms up during bumpy surfaces which is kinda cool. A two tone purple/pink pearlescent paint with chrome liveries finishes off the car nicely.

Beneath the aggressive body shell is a Yokomo DIB with 1.8CS.

enRoute T-Shirt!

Just collected my enRoute T-Shirt last week! The shirt comes with a 1:1 scale enRoute JXR chassis print on the back, which is a white vector on black. Its a pretty cool design directly from Japan.

Touge Shifters Drift Volume 01

Presenting Touge Shifters 2013 video premiere! Its a short video with a few clips edited in line with M.O.V.E's song titled "Raise Up" which is featured in the new Initial D's Stage 5 opening. The video's quality is still not that great, but will do better in the subsequent videos to come.

New Year... New Look!

As the team enters through a new phase, a new look follows to suit~ a new color theme of red and black replaces the old yellow and black theme.

Touge Shifters 2013 Revival

Happy New Year 2013!

It has been a quiet 1.5 years since Team Touge Shifters  became inactive. As time passed by, most of the team members has also moved on with other aspects of their lives.

But it will be a new year and a new start to Team Touge Shifters, as a revival is under way.. with new things to talk and of course, the era of countersteer drifting.

For those who has been following our blog closely last time, we like to thank you for the continuous support and interests in our team.

Autodrift Event @ Woodlands 20 March 2011

All in all its a tiring day, with rain and temporary wet track.. my sprint 2 giving me a lot of issues at the rear tensioner, with the motor over heating as well... sigh,

anyway, looking forward to changing the motor and see how it goes...
